Manufacturing Engineer – Senior required by a multinational medical device company based in Cork. The Cork facility is a global centre for product development, manufacturing and supply chain. The product & process innovation centre on site is a global strategic investment based on the skills and capabilities of the Cork staff. The Manufacturing Engineer requires the following,

o Bachelor of Science Degree from accredited institution in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related degree.
o Master of Science Degree from an accredited institution in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related degree, preferred.
o 4-6 years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering is required.
o Previous experience working in a regulated industry, such as Medical Device is preferred.
o Six Sigma or Lean Sigma certification or 4 years of experience preferred.
o Experience developing and implementing robust automated manufacturing equipment, preferred.
o Experience with packaging, Laser, and CNC processes and equipment, preferred

Desirable requirement for Manufacturing Engineer,

o Must be willing to support global projects including some travel.
o Must be willing to support all shifts.
o Participates in and understands compliance related activities pertaining to the job assignment including compliance with the Quality System Regulation (QSR), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and applicable Work Instructions.
o Works in conditions that may be hot, cold, wet and/or noisy along with exposure to fumes, oil, coolants and other manufacturing related chemicals.
